Pilkington Glass Co. to Hayes-Dana; the industry of Thorold
In the early 1900's, Pilkington began establishing overseas operations. Canada would become one of the most important of these so-called "depots" or "agencies" A subsidiary was established in Thorold around 1914/15. Approximately 200 acres were purchased in Thorold South.

Amy Ball's Piano
The Ball family were one of the three founding Thorold families. This piano was purchased by the Ball family, sometime around 1870, reputedly becoming the first piano in Thorold.

The Cap Gun Craze
Thorold's "last Minute MFG" exploded the 1950's with iron cap guns, which can be found in the museums collection.
